Detailer - Revit Experience Required

Detailer (Revit) - Mechanical & Piping
Position Overview
We are seeking a meticulous Detailer experienced with Revit to produce accurate construction-ready drawings for mechanical systems, including process piping, HVAC, and plumbing. The role focuses on translating engineering designs into detailed models and fabrication/shop drawings, ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and produce detailed Revit models and 2D/3D drawings for process piping, HVAC, and plumbing systems based on engineering inputs and project specifications.
  • Create fabrication and shop drawings, piping isometrics, equipment layouts, and coordination drawings for construction and fabrication teams.
  • Coordinate with engineers, designers, and other trades to resolve clashes, ensure dimensional accuracy, and integrate multidisciplinary models.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and material lists to ensure completeness and constructability; flag discrepancies and propose solutions.
  • Maintain drawing standards, file organization, and revision control; prepare transmittals and support document deliverables.
  • Support quantity takeoffs and BOM generation as required for procurement and fabrication.
  • Participate in design reviews and coordination meetings to provide detailing input and implement feedback promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with industry codes, company standards, and client requirements; maintain high attention to detail and quality in all deliverables.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Detailer or CAD Technician with strong Revit expertise, preferably in mechanical, piping, HVAC, or plumbing projects.
  • Solid knowledge of process piping design, pipe routing, fittings, supports, and isometric drawing conventions.
  • Familiarity with HVAC and plumbing systems, equipment layouts, ductwork, and related detailing practices.
  • Proficient in Revit; experience with AutoCAD and pipe design or modeling tools is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of construction practices, fabrication requirements, and industry codes and standards.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills; ability to work collaboratively with engineers and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • High attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Certificate or diploma in CAD, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field preferred; relevant on-the-job experience will be considered.
  • Willingness to participate in site visits or fabrication shop checks when required.
