Job Summary:
The Instructional Designer creates engaging, effective learning experiences that builds employee capability and supports business goals. This role partners with subject matter experts, facilitators, HR, and business leaders to design instructor-led, virtual, blended, and self-paced learning solutions rooted in adult learning principles.
Responsibilities:
  • Designs and develops learning experiences, curriculum, assessments, facilitator guides, job aids, and performance support tools.
  • Creates role-based learning paths and structured learning journeys aligned to business needs.
  • Partners with SMEs, facilitators, HR, and business leaders to identify learning needs, define objectives, and measure success.
  • Leads content planning, review, and revision cycles to ensure learning materials are accurate, relevant, and scalable.
  • Incorporates interactive and experiential learning strategies to improve engagement, retention, and on-the-job application.
  • Evaluates learner feedback, assessment results, and business needs to continuously improve programs.
  • Supports learning technology, LMS content, completion tracking, and digital course maintenance in partnership with the L&D team.
  • Uses authoring tools, multimedia, AI, and emerging technologies to enhance learning experiences.
  • Provides stakeholder support, training, and troubleshooting for learning tools and processes.
  • Supports in-person learning experiences as needed, including observing facilitation and assisting with learner experience logistics.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by manager.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Learning & Development, HR, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience designing and developing learning solutions in a corporate, educational, or training environment.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design methods, and learning evaluation practices.
  • Experience designing instructor-led, virtual, blended, and self-paced programs.
  • Strong project management, organization, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
  • Experience developing assessments, learner activities, facilitator guides, job aids, and other learning resources.
  • Ability to travel occasionally, currently estimated at less than 20%.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in Instructional Design, Learning Experience Design, Talent Development, or related field.
  • Experience with tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Vyond, Camtasia, Canva, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft 365.
  • Experience with Workday Learning or another LMS.
  • Experience developing role-based learning paths or competency-based curriculum.
  • Familiarity with learner analytics, survey data, AI-enabled tools, and emerging learning technologies.
