Frazer, a leading builder of emergency medical vehicles, is currently seeking a Vice President of Service to join our team. The Vice President of Service at Frazer reports to the President, and is responsible for leading Frazer's post-production service operations and ensuring an exceptional customer experience throughout the lifecycle of every EMS unit. This role provides executive leadership and strategic direction for Repairs, Warranty, Parts Sales, and Customer Support functions with a strong focus on responsiveness, service quality, operational efficiency, and customer uptime.
The VP of Service develops and executes scalable service strategies that support company growth, improve operational performance, and strengthen long-term customer relationships. This leader is responsible for establishing performance standards, driving continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing service delivery processes, and building a high-performing, customer-focused organization.
As a member of Frazer's Senior Leadership Team, the VP of Service contributes to company-wide strategic planning, operational execution, and financial performance initiatives. This position is expected to model Frazer's Core Values while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, and operational excellence across all Service functions.
What Does a Week in the Life of the Vice President of Service Look Like?
  1. Leads the Service organization, including Repairs, Warranty, Parts Sales, and Customer Support, to deliver exceptional lifecycle support and customer satisfaction for all Frazer EMS units.
  2. Develops, implements, and continuously improves Service operational processes to reduce customer downtime, improve responsiveness, optimize staffing, and increase operational efficiency.
  3. Establishes operational performance standards and manages Service activities through KPI-driven systems focused on quality, turnaround time, productivity, parts availability, and customer experience.
  4. Builds, develops, and leads high-performing Service leadership teams through coaching, accountability, performance management, succession planning, and talent development initiatives.
  5. Collaborates cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to resolve issues, improve serviceability, and support company operational objectives.
  6. Participates as a member of the Senior Leadership Team to support company strategy, operational execution, financial performance, and long-term organizational growth.
  7. Develops and manages departmental budgets, service-related expenditures, and cost-control initiatives to ensure financial accountability and operational effectiveness.
  8. Facilitates Service leadership meetings to review operational performance, customer support metrics, staffing needs, and strategic priorities.
  9. Establishes clear goals and performance expectations for direct reports and ensures accountability through regular communication, feedback, and performance evaluations.
  10. Promotes and maintains a safe, productive, and values-driven work environment aligned with Frazer Core Values, company policies, and safety programs.
  11. Supports strategic planning initiatives by contributing operational insights, departmental priorities, performance metrics, and resource planning recommendations.
  12. Prepares operational updates, business performance reports, and departmental metrics for executive leadership and Board-level review as needed.

Secondary Duties
  1. Contributes to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Service policies, procedures, workflows, and operational standards across all service-related functions.
  2. Collaborates in the development and management of departmental operating budgets and ensures expenses are managed in alignment with financial objectives and company expectations.
  3. Participates in cross-functional initiatives and operational committees, including Lean Manufacturing activities, Engineering collaboration efforts, Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), and Financial KPI reviews.
  4. Reviews and approves high-value purchase requisitions for parts, equipment, tools, maintenance, and other Service operational requirements.
  5. Provides ongoing coaching, feedback, and formal performance evaluations to support employee development, accountability, and organizational growth.
  6. Approves weekly timesheets, Paid Time Off (PTO) requests, and other routine personnel-related actions for direct reports.
  7. Reviews and submits monthly expense reports accurately and in a timely manner.

Required Education and Experience:
  • 5 years minimum experience in management roles
  • 5 years minimum experience in the service industry
  • Experience with service ERP systems

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Masters of Business Administration Degree
  • Experience with the Traction EOS management framework
  • Involvement with Vistage International
  • 10+ years in manufacturing leadership roles
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma quality programs
  • Experience with Cultural Index
