Job description

Vice President of Sales
Who We Are

Artisan Studios, a leading digital innovation consultancy, crafts elegant digital solutions that accelerate success for our clients. We are a team of talented, compassionate, and inclusive professionals who share a passion for technology and an unwavering drive to grow. Our work spans from application and infrastructure modernization to cloud migration and custom end-to-end product development.

Weโ€™re looking for a Vice President of Sales to join our team of Artisans!

About the Role

Artisan Studios is at an inflection point. Our AWS co-sell motion is generating large enterprise opportunities, our delivery reputation is strong, and our pipeline of agentic AI work is accelerating. We are looking for a Vice President of Sales to help us grow into what comes next.

This is a role for a builder. Working alongside our SVP Head of Sales, you will carry a personal quota, lead a high-performing sales team, and have a real voice in how Artisan goes to market. The infrastructure you put in place will be yours to design, and your perspective on where we invest and which markets we pursue will help shape the company's direction.

Artisan Studios has built The Atelier, a proprietary AI orchestration platform that uses coordinated fleets of specialized agents to accelerate how our teams research, scope, and architect solutions. The right candidate will leverage this platform to move faster and engage smarter across the sales cycle.

Key responsibilities

Pipeline Development & AWS Co-Sell

  • Build and maintain a qualified pipeline of large enterprise services opportunities

  • Develop deep, trust-based relationships with AWS field sellers

  • Navigate AWS co-sell programs from direct experience to accelerate deal velocity and unlock partner resources

  • Identify and pursue large enterprise accounts with complex transformation needs across our core verticals

Deal Execution & Closing

  • Own complex, multi-stakeholder opportunities from first introduction through signed contract, scoping and pricing custom engagements with average deal sizes of $500K+

  • Hold credible, business-level conversations about cloud adoption, modernization, and AI with senior enterprise buyers

  • Advance deals through a disciplined MEDDICC framework

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead a sales team and take ownership of their development and results

  • Establish the processes, account strategies, and operating rhythms that allow the team to perform

  • Set the standard through your own production, structure, and accountability

Account Planning & Forecasting

  • Maintain disciplined pipeline management in Salesforce with accurate, data-grounded forecasting

  • Develop and execute structured account plans for target opportunities

  • Collaborate with solutions architects and delivery leadership to ensure engagements are scoped for success

Strategy & Partner Engagement

  • Contribute to Artisan's go-to-market strategy and repeatable sales assets

  • Represent Artisan Studios at AWS partner events, industry conferences, and client on-sites

  • Build trusted advisor relationships with enterprise stakeholders from technical leadership through the C-suite

About the Candidate

This is a leadership role that begins with personal production. We are looking for someone who has been among the strongest sellers at their company and is ready for more responsibility, have more influence, and a direct hand in shaping a growing business.

You'll thrive at Artisan if you:
  • Are energized by building something rather than maintaining it

  • Move fast and remain comfortable with ambiguity

  • Take ownership of outcomes, not just activities

  • Bring insight and curiosity to every client and partner interaction

  • Want your work to directly shape the trajectory of a company

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • Significant experience carrying a quota selling professional services engagements โ€” consulting, delivery, or transformation (not SaaS, licenses, or staff augmentation)

  • Proven track record closing complex enterprise deals with average deal sizes of $500K+

  • in services revenue, involving multiple stakeholders, long sales cycles, and custom scoping

  • Direct experience working within the AWS partner ecosystem โ€” either at an AWS consulting/services partner or at AWS itself โ€” including a demonstrated history of co- selling with AWS field sellers and generating pipeline through partner channels

  • Experience leading or developing a team, or a demonstrated ability to raise the standard of those around you

  • Fluency with MEDDICC as a working sales methodology, not a theoretical concept

  • Daily Salesforce discipline โ€” pipeline management and forecasting driven by data

  • Strong business-level understanding of cloud native application development, modernization, and AI sufficient to lead early-stage client conversations

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

Extra Credit
  • Experience selling into one or more of our core verticals: Retail, Consumer Packaged Goods, Quick Service Restaurants, Foodservice Distribution, or Travel & Hospitality

  • AWS certifications (Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect, or equivalent)

  • Prior experience navigating ACE pipeline, AWS funding, T2K, and other AWS programs

  • Experience operating in high-growth environments

Core Competencies
  • Customer Focus: Building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions

  • Strategic Mindset: Seeing ahead to future possibilities and translating them into breakthrough strategies

  • Action Oriented: Taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm

  • Builds Effective Teams: Developing people and creating a climate where they can perform at their best

  • Manages Ambiguity: Operating effectively, even when things are not certain or the way forward is not clear

  • Collaborates: Builds partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives
