Job description

OVERVIEW The Vice President of Business Development will define and implement a strategy to ensure continued growth in a highly complex government contracting environment. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Vice President of Business Development has direct responsibility for the overall pursuit of new business, the identification and capture of new contracts, and the marketing of Hendall to potential customers. DUTIESIdentify, qualify, capture, and close deals through proactive relationship-building with potential customersEstablish and maintain a pipeline of target opportunities that have been qualified through initial conversations with government stakeholdersConduct ongoing and routine outreach to potential clients and represent Hendall at meetings, conferences, and other externally focused events.Present deal-specific intelligence, including customer statements regarding needs and requirements, to executive teamLead business development activities for new business opportunities from premarketing through proposal submissionEstablish and maintain relationships with teaming partnersAuthor proposals, white papers, standard operating procedures, and other contentMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSAt least 10 years of directly applicable experienceProven success identifying, influencing, responding to, and winning Federal government contractsA track record demonstrating the ability to establish relationships with Federal government officialsProven ability to identify and focus all efforts on the specific activities that will lead to corporate growthA thorough understanding of the Federal small business contracting environment, including Small Business Administration and Federal Acquisition Regulation requirementsExceptional communication skills and a self-starter attitude willing to lead and contribute to any corporate activityStrong problem solving and analysis skillsWillingness to work long hours during peak periodsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSRecent experience supporting one or more HHS Operating Divisions in a customer-facing roleIntelligence leading to immediate expansion of corporate pipelineSalary Range: $150,000 to $200,000 per yearFor a complete listing of benefits, please visit our careers page at www.hendall.com/careersHendall Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
