Job Summary and Qualifications

The VP, Client Success will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for defining, executing, and monitoring the organization’s commercial strategy. This role is accountable for driving financial performance through leadership of sales and client success teams to align with business objectives and customer needs. The VP Client Success oversees cross-functional collaboration to ensure customer value across technology, consulting, and GPO revenue streams. The VP, Client Success develops and executes strategic initiatives to build and nurture value pipelines, set and achieve client objectives, develop strategic supplier partnerships, and manage forecasting, budgets, and performance reporting. This position reports to the COO of Valify and supervises the Client Success and Sales teams.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies, analyze market trends, evaluate market expansion opportunities, build strong partnerships, and collaborate with product teams to align offerings with customer needs.
  • Serve as an advocate for the customer to drive customer acquisition, retention, and profitability.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Implementation, Client Success, Product Development, Sourcing, and Marketing teams.
  • Oversee pipeline forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting.
  • Serve as liaison to HealthTrust Performance Group Management to ensure clarity of messaging and market positioning.
  • Collaborate with HealthTrust sourcing leadership to optimize contract offering to VSG members.

Client Success & Retention

  • Lead Client Success team to ensure high satisfaction and retention rates for Valify subscribers and VSG members.
  • Promote Valify’s technology value proposition to senior hospital executives and supply chain decision-makers.
  • Promote VSG’s business model to departmental leaders across healthcare systems.
  • Delegate goals, monitor progress, and hold team members accountable.

Business Development & Growth

  • Lead cross-selling initiatives to drive subscription renewals and administrative fee growth.
  • Prospect and secure meetings with healthcare stakeholders to communicate value propositions.
  • Engage with HealthTrust contracted suppliers to develop joint sales programs and goals.
  • Coordinate and execute marketing campaigns targeting specific VSG categories.
  • Develop pricing strategies to drive revenue growth and profitability.

Marketing & Communication

  • Conduct market assessments and develop business plans for strategic pursuits.
  • Maintain sales activity records in Salesforce.
  • Plan and attend relevant trade shows and sales exhibits.
  • Ensure marketing materials reflect current capabilities and offerings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related field required. Graduate degree (MBA or MHA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, including 10 years in GPO, sales, or national account management within healthcare.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Deep understanding of the healthcare provider market and GPO operations.
  • Proven experience in commercial operations strategy and execution.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills across stakeholder levels.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing environments.
  • Commitment to company values, DEI principles, and ethical conduct.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel; experience with data warehouse tools preferred.
