Job Duties
Position Overview
The Global VP of Sales leads Evident's worldwide commercial strategy for Digital Pathology. Combining strategic vision with hands-on execution, this leader owns revenue targets, drives expansion into new markets and lab tiers, and serves as the closest commercial partner to the VP & GM of the Business Unit - fully aligned to the BU's vision and bringing the full weight of commercial execution behind it. This is a role for a commercial visionary who thinks in markets, not just deals - someone who can build unconventional partnerships, open new pathways, and translate a technology leap into commercial momentum.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Revenue
  • Define and execute global sales strategy; achieve annual and multi-year revenue targets across all geographies and segments.
  • Build a robust global pipeline; drive expansion into new geographies, lab tiers, and use cases.

Commercial Execution & Contracts
  • Lead strategic customer negotiations and deal closures; own contracts and agreements with customers and distribution partners.
  • Partner with Legal and Finance on quotation approvals, deal structuring, and contract compliance.

Business Development & Ecosystem
  • Scope and develop new opportunities globally - direct sales, channel partnerships, academic collaborations, and strategic alliances.
  • Support business unit leadership to build strategic partnerships with software vendors, AI solution providers, and LIS/LIMS integrators to grow the ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with business unit leadership to co-develop ecosystem expansion strategies; represent Evident at senior partner and customer forums.

Business Unit Partnership
  • Support delivery of the annual operating plan; maintain the Bowler to keep orders, revenue, and commercial performance visible to leadership.
  • Provide market intelligence and customer insights that inform product strategy; represent the commercial voice at executive level.

Marketing, Exhibitions & Brand
  • Partner with Marketing on brand campaigns, demand generation, and commercial collateral.
  • Own commercial strategy for global exhibitions and congresses (CAP, USCAP, ECP, Pathology Visions); coordinate demos with Applications Engineering.

Team Leadership
  • Directly lead regional sales organizations (Americas, EMEA, APAC); build a culture of accountability and commercial ambition.
  • Define enablement programs, coaching cadences, and performance frameworks; personally mentor regional leaders and high-potential team members to build lasting commercial capability.

Job Requirements
Qualifications
  • 15+ years of commercial experience; 5+ years in a senior global sales leadership role with P&L or revenue responsibility.
  • Direct, hands-on experience in the Digital Pathology market is required - including deep familiarity with the competitive landscape and clinical adoption dynamics.
  • Demonstrated experience working in close partnership with software vendors and AI solution providers to develop and commercialize integrated solutions.
  • Track record closing complex multi-stakeholder contracts with hospitals, labs, and distribution partners; experience building and leading global VP-level teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to expand markets into new geographies, lab tiers, and use cases. Bachelor's/Master's in Life Sciences, Engineering, or Business; MBA preferred.
