VP, Business Development

As the VP of Business Development at TripleLift, you will report to the COO and play a critical leadership role in driving the company's growth through strategic partnerships. This role sits at the intersection of Demand-Side Platforms (DSPs), Supply-Side Platforms (SSPs), Connected TV (CTV), Data Management Platforms (DMPs), Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), and Clean Rooms, with a strong emphasis on Retail Media and Search Ads platforms.

TripleLift has unique Creative, Data, and Monetization assets that will continue to evolve across these segments. You will lead a team of ~5 high-performing individual contributors across the US, EU, and APAC to develop strategic partnerships, accelerate revenue growth, and expand our AdTech footprint within retail and search advertising.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute a global business development strategy to expand TripleLift's presence in Retail Media and Search Ads, leveraging our SSP, Creative Tech, CTV, and Data/Clean Room capabilities.

  • Identify, prioritize, and close new business opportunities and strategic partnerships across key segments; support post-deal enablement to ensure successful activation and growth.

  • Establish and nurture partnerships with key stakeholders including retailers, advertisers, agencies, search platforms, and technology partners.

  • Maintain close relationships with Retail Media agencies to understand evolving needs and align solutions accordingly.

  • Oversee management of key partner relationships to ensure strong satisfaction, retention, and growth.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global team of individual contributors, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and results.

  • Provide clear strategic direction, performance expectations, and coaching to drive individual and team success.

  • Collaborate closely with regional Sales, Product, Marketing, and Account Management teams to ensure alignment and successful execution across US, EU, and APAC.

  • Partner with regional leadership to tailor go-to-market strategies to local market needs.

Market Expertise & Innovation

  • Maintain deep knowledge of the AdTech ecosystem, with particular focus on Retail Media and Search Ads, alongside DSP, SSP, CTV, DMP, CDP, and clean room technologies.

  • Monitor industry trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory developments to inform partnership strategy and identify new growth opportunities.

  • Provide market insights and feedback to Product and Executive teams to influence roadmap and innovation priorities.

Revenue Growth & Performance Management

  • Drive revenue growth across Retail Media and Search Ads partnerships, contributing meaningfully to overall company targets.

  • Establish and track KPIs to measure pipeline development, deal velocity, partner activation, and revenue performance.

  • Provide regular updates to the CRO and executive leadership on progress, risks, and opportunities.

  • Contribute to broader commercial strategy discussions and annual planning processes.

Experience & Qualifications
  • Proven track record of driving successful business development and revenue growth in AdTech, with strong experience in Retail Media and Search Ads ecosystems.

  • Deep expertise across DSP, SSP, CTV, DMP, CDP, and clean room technologies.

  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing teams across multiple regions.

  • Strong negotiation and deal-making capabilities with clear examples of igniting, structuring, and closing strategic partnerships.

  • Excellent communication and executive presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.

  • Strong understanding of AdTech industry trends and regulatory considerations.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.

  • 8-12+ years of experience in Business Development, Strategic Partnerships, or Enterprise Sales leadership roles.

  • Demonstrable strong work ethic and alignment with TripleLift's company values.
