YOUR DAY-DAY:

  • Provide strategic leadership for the newsroom by establishing and executing the long-term editorial, operational, and business vision aligned with station and company objectives.
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing, multi-platform newsroom culture focused on journalistic excellence, innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous development.

  • Foster strong cross-functional partnerships with Station Leadership, Corporate News, Sales, Marketing, Digital, Engineering, Operations, Legal, and Community Relations to support strategic initiatives and organizational goals.
  • Represent the station and newsroom with community leaders, industry partners, and key stakeholders, reinforcing Univision's reputation as the leading and most trusted local news source.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, journalistic standards, FCC regulations, and legal requirements while maintaining the highest level of editorial integrity and ethical journalism.

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Media, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years leading a large, multi-platform newsroom as a News Director, Executive News Director, or comparable senior leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success leading high-performing teams through organizational growth, transformation, and change.
