Job description

Are you a veterinary medicine professional looking for the next step in your career, while staying within the industry? Veterinary Care & Specialty Group (VCSG) in Chattanooga, Tennessee, is seeking a Veterinary Marketing & Outreach Coordinator to join its growing team, playing a pivotal role in expanding our referral network and enhancing our brand presence within our community.
This role best suits someone who has spent multiple years working in veterinary hospitals and has a keen understanding of specialty and emergency medicine. You will prioritize developing new relationships and maintaining those already established with our referring veterinarians while supporting marketing efforts to attract new clients by promoting VCSG's emergency and specialty medicine services.
VCSG is Chattanooga's largest and most trusted veterinary specialty and emergency hospital. Since 2016, we've been redefining veterinary care by combining state-of-the-art medicine with unparalleled compassion. Our close-knit team of over 150 veterinary professionals is dedicated to providing world-class care for pets while fostering trust and collaboration with pet owners and referring veterinarians. We're looking for an outgoing people-person who loves to network and build local relationships to join us! This position is salaried and requires that the candidate spend time in our hospital in Chattanooga, TN, along with regular local travel to hospitals within our referring community (approximately 75% local travel, 25% stationary time in the hospital). This is a Monday-Friday role, but does occasionally require evening and weekend events.
Key Responsibilities
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with referring veterinarians and practices through regular communication, visits, and meetings.
  • Outreach Programs: Implement and manage referral outreach programs and initiatives to drive specialty and emergency patient referrals to VCSG.
  • Educational Events: Organize and coordinate continuing education (CE) events, lunch-and-learns, and other educational opportunities for referring veterinarians.
  • Resource Development: Collaborate with EVG Marketing to create and distribute informational materials and newsletters about VCSG's services, specialties, and referral processes.
  • Feedback Management: Collect and manage feedback from referring veterinarians to continuously improve the referral experience.
  • Reporting: Track and report on referral sources, patterns, and trends to the Hospital Administrator and Director of Strategic Marketing.
  • Social Media Management: Collaborate with EVG Marketing to oversee VCSG's social media profiles, creating engaging posts, responding to comments, and monitoring analytics to track performance.
  • Email Marketing: Design and execute email marketing campaigns for both clients and referral communities.
  • Event Coordination: Help plan and execute promotional events, webinars, and community outreach programs to boost brand awareness.
  • Market Research: Collaborate with EVG Marketing to conduct market research to identify trends, target audiences, and competitive analysis to inform marketing strategies.
  • Performance Analysis: Collaborate with EVG Marketing to monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns using tools like Google Analytics and social media insights.
  • Collaboration: Attend network-wide marketing strategy meetings, work closely with the Hospital Administrator, Director of Strategic Marketing/Marketing Specialists, other team members/departments to align marketing efforts with overall business goals.

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience within the veterinary industry, preferably within specialty and/or emergency medicine. Marketing or outreach experience is preferred.
  • Must be personable, engaging, and comfortable speaking with new connections as a representative for VCSG
  • Comfort with various forms of communication, including social media, online platforms, email marketing, and electronic media
  • Strong attention to detail with an interest in finding creative solutions and paths forward for marketing and referral networking
  • Reside within the Chattanooga, TN metro area
