What You'll Do
Our Veterinary Assistants and Technicians play a vital role in supporting our doctors, caring for patients, and educating clients throughout their pet's visit.
Responsibilities may include:
  • Assisting veterinarians during exams, diagnostics, and treatments
  • Reviewing vaccination records and preparing vaccines according to protocol
  • Safely restraining patients during procedures and treatments
  • Performing venous catheter placement, phlebotomy, injections, and anesthesia support (based on experience level)
  • Taking radiographs with proper positioning techniques
  • Running in-house laboratory work including hematology, urinalysis, microbiology, and serology
  • Performing ear cleanings, nail trims, anal gland expressions, and other nursing care tasks
  • Monitoring patient vital signs including temperature, pulse, and respiration
  • Assisting with emergency triage and patient care
  • Maintaining pharmacy, anesthesia, and controlled drug logs
  • Communicating with and educating clients regarding treatments, medications, and overall pet wellbeing
  • Supporting hospital cleanliness, organization, and daily operations

What We're Looking For
  • Minimum of 2 years of veterinary experience preferred
  • Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician experience welcomed
  • Passion for patient care and outstanding client service
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
