A Day in the Life

As a Shipping/VAS Supervisor, you will play an important part in providing direction to the outbound team by ensuring shipments are sent out within service level agreements. You'll be working with products from some awesome clients that are heavily involved in the active lifestyle.

A successful Shipping/VAS Supervisor will be a disciplined self-starter who can naturally engage a team while having fun at work and working with tight deadlines. An enthusiastic and positive individual who can create and maintain a harmonious balance between people, policy, and process to run shifts like a well-oiled machine. They are naturally comfortable having conversations ranging from coaching to constructive feedback. Leading team meetings, acknowledging the team wins and the ability to motivate is a must.

The following schedule is available for this role:
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM


Starting Salary:
$70, 304 - $85,652

What You'll Bring to the Role:

  • Excellent technical capabilities with proficiency in warehouse management system (WMS)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize duties, follow through assignments with a minimum of direction, and be extremely detail oriented
  • Experience in continuous improvement tools/methodologies to drive customer fulfillment, quality, efficiency and safety
  • Experience in leading personnel to ensure all assigned activities are performed effectively and efficiently
  • Has the ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities.

The Must Haves:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Outlook
  • Must have physical ability to carry out essential job functions, including but not limited to, the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., walking and standing for extended periods, climbing ladders/stairs, ok with heights in elevated areas and tolerating conditions such as dust, dirt, noise, odors, heat, cold, etc.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is preferred but not a must.

Things You Will be Doing

  • Ensures the training, cross-training and development of team members
  • Communicates, monitors and drives goals and operational performance metrics while working within SLA
  • Ensures all VAS requirements are meeting or exceeding Client and/or Customer expectations and are within goals or service requirements.
  • Collaborate with the DC Manager by planning labor requirements based on forecast and direction from the Client
  • Communicates expectations and provides regular feedback on performance
  • FollowingNRI safety rules, safety procedures, security protocol and standard operating procedures (SOP)
  • Keeps work and storage areas in a safe, clean, and tidy condition at all times.
  • Performs other duties as requested
