Job description

Are you someone who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly? The Bar Harbor Inn and Spa is seeking a dependable and hardworking Maintenance Associate to join our team for the season.
In this role, you'll support the overall upkeep and functionality of the property, helping ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for both guests and team members. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving and likes working both independently and as part of a team.
This full-time seasonal position is available now through December, offering a great opportunity to work in one of Maine's most iconic oceanfront destinations.

Position Details:
  • Schedule: Full-Time, Seasonal (Available now through December)
  • Shifts: Nights, weekends, and holidays are a must

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the property
  • Respond to guest service requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist with general upkeep, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting tasks
  • Support preventative maintenance programs and seasonal property needs
  • Maintain clean and organized workspaces, tools, and equipment
  • Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns
  • Assist with groundskeeping and outdoor upkeep as needed
  • Work collaboratively with housekeeping and other departments to ensure a smooth guest experience
Skills & Requirements:
  • Prior maintenance or facilities experience preferred, but not required
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general repair work
  • Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
Performance Measurement:
Success in this role will be measured by responsiveness, quality of repairs, attention to detail, teamwork, and contribution to a safe and well-maintained property.
