Job Summary
We are looking for an organized professional with at least 1 year of sub-metering / RBC experience. This candidate must be well spoken and able to speak of the company's business, systems and services at a high level of understanding. The position will report directly to Guardian's Director of Technical Services and would be responsible for managing and scheduling the installation of new sub-meter systems in apartments, condominiums, manufactured housing and commercial properties. This position will also consist of scheduling and managing meter service work at existing properties. It may require "hands on" meter transmitter installation or servicing but primarily will consist of managing qualified subcontractors and in-house meter technicians.
Must have a valid Washington state driver's license and be willing to pass a drug test.
Responsibilities:
  • Establish and ensure compliance with quality control and quality assurance standards for installation, maintenance, monitoring of remote dial-up systems, reading assessments, and meter reading
  • Oversee and perform system installations and maintenance.
  • Keep job folder/files on each project with all the appropriate documentation.
  • Review installation and maintenance reports and documentation relevant to the project: scope of work, site plans, and meter health audits, work orders, etc.
  • Ensure all sub-metering devices are operating properly prior to leaving the job site.
  • Submit to your Coordinator complete and updated documentation corresponding to each maintenance and installation performed. All paperwork to be submitted at the end of each day on work completed.
  • Prepare and submit recommendations and scope of work as applicable for site survey's performed.
  • Obtaining subcontractor quotes and permit fees information as applicable
  • Coordinate training of subcontractors.
  • Meter installations and trouble shooting
  • Perform site surveys and estimates for new sales opportunities
  • Work with sales team on following up and preparing service agreements for new sales opportunities
  • Keep spreadsheet of current meter projects both new construction and retrofits that tracks when meter equipment is ordered, programmed and delivered/installed at job-site
  • Ensure meters and RF system equipment is ordered (from MTW), programmed, labeled and ready to meet client's requirements
  • Communicate and coordinate with client about meter installation, delivery, etc
  • Ensure subcontractor performing installation turns in paperwork and invoice
  • Ensure Guardian client is properly invoiced for new installation work
  • Ensure Guardian billing reps are notified when a metering system is installed and ready to start utility billing services
  • Provide over the phone meter and RF system troubleshooting to client or Guardian billing rep when needed
  • Schedule and manage meter reader, service and installation sub-contractors
  • Receive and research service work orders to get to the root of the problem before suggesting a solution
  • Quote service work pricing to client or Guardian billing repetitive
  • Once approved, order & program metering and RF system equipment then schedule service work with property and subcontractor
  • Ensure service work and new installation jobs are properly invoiced to client
  • Ensure Guardian invoicing client for any "non-warranty" service work performed by Guardian or subcontractor
