Job Summary:
USAJOBS is seeking a Supervisory IT Specialist (Network) to lead the Connectivity and Collaboration services within the Office of Information and Technology. The role involves overseeing IT duties related to Campus Networking and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, while providing technical direction and managing teams involved in network operations.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Directs and manages ongoing or ad hoc technical teams in the overall operations and maintenance of systems and infrastructure.
โ€ข Ensures VA policies are in compliance with regulatory requirements and legislated mandates governing those programs.
โ€ข Provides technical direction to staff and contract team members.
โ€ข Documents statistics on information assets and maintains information flow and asset prioritizing documents and maintains asset dependencies and contingency deficiencies; develops technology assessments, as well as critical asset protection implementation plans; and implements critical information protection training awareness programs.
โ€ข Manages engineering, implementation, evaluation and continuous improvement of processes and technology in accordance with management priorities and objectives.
โ€ข Ensures appropriate documentation is developed to substantiate plans and procurements, and to ensure usability and effectiveness of processes and technology once implemented.
โ€ข Facilitates the effective exchange of information between stakeholders at all levels by sponsoring regular meetings, teleconferences and coordinating sessions to ensure all critical parties are informed and involved in decision making activities and maintenance events.
โ€ข Performs other duties as assigned.
