Job description

UPHOLSTERER FOR FURNITURE MANUFACTURING
An upholsterer will construct or repair upholstered furniture by covering the furniture frame with materials such as leather, cotton or suede.
Responsibilities:
• Attaches fabric/leather to the arms, backs, seats and outside backs to wooden frames using a compressed air staple gun.
• This job requires continuous stapling with one hand while pulling the material with the other hand to complete the sofa, loveseat, chair or ottoman according to specifications.
• Physical requirements are standing all day, bending, occasionally may have to lift 80 to 100 pounds.
• Follow all safety procedures while performing the position
Qualifications/Skills:
• 6 months or more of experience working as an upholsterer in a production setting
• Ability to work well in a team oriented environment
• Must be 18 years of age or older
