Position Overview:

Responsible for creating, repairing, and installing upholstery for boat interiors. Your role is crucial in ensuring the comfort and aesthetic appeal of our vessels. Design, fabricate, and repair upholstery including seats, cushions, headliners, and other fabric components.

Essential Functions:

  • Create, repair, and install upholstery for various marine vessels, including seats, cushions, headliners, and other fabric components.

  • Measure, cut, and work with materials such as vinyl, leather, fabric, and foam to fit specific areas accurately.

  • Use tools like sewing machines, staplers, and scissors to install new upholstery, ensuring a secure and precise fit.

  • Assess the condition of existing upholstery and develop plans for repair or replacement. Perform maintenance on upholstery equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Required Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of various upholstery materials, including vinyl, leather, fabric, and foam, and their appropriate uses.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.

Working Conditions:

  • Maintain cleanliness, ensure safety compliance to include PPE adherence, safety policy adherence, and safe behaviors and conditions. Must possess the desire and ambition to always work safely and report all hazards to their supervisor immediately.

  • Must understand basic terminology such as OSHA, DEP, and other regulatory agencies.

  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment where designated, including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.

The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $23.18, hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus or short-term incentive program. This position is also eligible for an award target as part of Brunswick's long-term incentive program.
