Job description

We are looking for a talented Upholstery Technician with expertise in sewing and pattern creation to contribute to our upholstery workshop. As an integral member of our team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality upholstery products, including furniture covers, cushions, draperies, and other fabric-based items. Your role will involve interpreting design specifications, creating patterns, cutting fabric, sewing components, and assembling finished products with precision and attention to detail. With your expertise in upholstery techniques and your ability to bring creative designs to life, you will play a key role in fulfilling our clients' upholstery needs and upholding our reputation for excellence.

Responsibilities:

  1. Interpret upholstery design specifications and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
  2. Create patterns for upholstery components, ensuring accurate measurements and fit.
  3. Select appropriate fabrics, materials, and trimmings for each project, considering durability, aesthetic appeal, and client preferences.
  4. Cut fabric according to pattern specifications, taking care to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
  5. Operate industrial sewing machines and other upholstery equipment to sew fabric components together with precision and consistency.
