We are currently developing animated TV series and interactive environments, and we are looking for a talented Unreal Engine Artist to help build high-quality cinematic environments and lighting setups. Job Summary Alter-Learning Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Unreal Engine Artist to join our remote creative team.

In this role, you will design and build visually compelling environments and lighting setups in Unreal Engine for animation and interactive projects. You will collaborate with artists, designers, and developers to create immersive worlds that enhance storytelling and gameplay experiences. Key Responsibilities Environment & Lighting Create high-quality environments and lighting setups in Unreal Engine.

Develop atmosphere, mood, and realism through advanced lighting techniques. Design cinematic lighting for animation and storytelling scenes. 3D Asset Integration Use industry-standard tools such as Unreal Engine, Blender, or Maya to create and implement assets.

Optimize assets and lighting for performance and visual quality. Technical Implementation Implement lighting techniques including: Dynamic and static lighting Light baking Global illumination Work with materials, shaders, post-processing, and environment effects. Work closely with the art, design, and animation teams to align with the project's creative vision.

Ensure lighting and environments match the desired artistic style and mood. Documentation & Support Provide documentation and technical guidance to team members. Assist with asset pipeline and environment optimization.

Stay updated with Unreal Engine developments and industry trends. Propose creative ideas to enhance visual storytelling and immersive experiences. Qualifications Required Strong portfolio demonstrating Unreal Engine environments and lighting work.

Proficiency in Unreal Engine. Experience with 3D software such as: Blender Maya or similar tools Experience with lighting techniques: Dynamic lighting Static lighting Light baking Global illumination Understanding of art principles and environment composition. Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills.

Ability to work independently in a remote environment. Preferred Experience in game development or animation production. Knowledge of real-time rendering pipelines.

Familiarity with cinematic lighting and storytelling techniques.
