Community Engagement Representative
Job Summary:
In this role, you will play a key part in assisting the Community Engagement manager in growing membership locally, increasing member engagement, and raising awareness of Hughes. This includes attending community events, business expos, networking events and meeting with SEG groups. Collaborates with the Brand Creative and Digital Marketing teams and other internal stakeholders to advance the credit union's overall marketing strategies.
Salary: $29.00-36.00 Per Hour Depending on Experience

Key Responsibilities:
  • Onboards new Select Employee Groups (SEGs) and manages relationships with new and existing SEGs.
  • Increases membership penetration level with current SEGs.
  • Assists with SEG tracking, administrative duties, and special projects as assigned.
  • Represent the credit union at community events, chamber events, business expos, and networking events to engage attendees, educate on products and services and ensure positive brand representation.
  • Networks with business and community partners to deepen relationships and brand recognition within the local community.
  • Assists in the development and management of the Local Merchant Program.
  • Responsible for increasing membership within the guidelines of the NCUA and Board of Directors through coordination of trade shows, special events, financial education, onsite visits, and networking
  • Assist with tracking sponsorship and donation requests that come through the website and ensuring they're submitted through Asna for team review.
  • Assist with inventory tracking and management of collateral materials, branded promotional items and event supplies. May coordinate branded giveaway ordering by collaborating with the brand and creative teams to ensure alignment with the brand.
  • Assists in the development, coordination, and implementation of staff training for the Hughes Ambassador program, which includes creating job aids and training materials.
  • Serves as a backup support for reputation management and response coordination.
  • Teach financial literacy in the community.
  • Provides administrative support to departments as needed.

Qualifications:
Required Skills:
  • Six months of similar or related experience.
  • Two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study in business or trade school.
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty pounds.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and maintain professional. relationships across departments and with external partners.
Preferred Skills:
  • Degree in marketing or a related field.
  • Bilingual.
