Vaco Indianapolis has partnered with a client in Carmel in search of a Bookkeeper to handle multi-client bookkeeping. This is a full time, direct hire position that will be working onsite in Carmel for training, then can transition to fully remote. If you feel you would be a good fit, apply today!

Core Responsibilities Maintain accurate general ledgers in QuickBooks Online, including proper transaction categorization and journal entries Perform monthly reconciliations (bank, credit card, loan) and ensure A/R and A/P accuracy Complete monthly closes on deadline and deliver accurate P&L and Balance Sheet reports Review financials for accuracy and flag unusual activity before sharing with clients Proactively communicate with clients, request missing information, and provide status updates Maintain organized client records and ensure books are clean and tax-ready Support payroll reconciliations (e.g., ADP, Gusto) and assist with sales tax filings as needed Qualifications 2+ years of bookkeeping experience Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online (ProAdvisor preferred) Solid understanding of accounting principles (debits/credits, cash vs. accrual) Experience managing multiple clients and meeting deadlines Strong organizational and written communication skills Public accounting or multi-client experience preferred Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
