Construction Bookkeeper
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Construction Bookkeeper to join a collaborative and growing accounting team supporting an expanding construction business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, values accuracy, and is eager to build long-term expertise while partnering with both office and field teams. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and thrives in a friendly, team-focused workplace.

This role is on-site in Portland, Oregon.

Construction Bookkeeper Responsibilities

  • Manage construction-related invoicing, billing, and financial transactions.
  • Maintain job costing records and monitor project financial data.
  • Support contract administration and related accounting documentation.
  • Assist with payroll processing, including union and prevailing wage payroll when applicable.
  • Collaborate with accounting and project teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and efficient processes.

Construction Bookkeeper Qualifications

  • Previous accounting experience within the construction industry.
  • Experience with job costing, invoicing, contract administration, and payroll.
  • Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems; Viewpoint experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills with excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn, grow, and contribute in a collaborative office environment.

Salary: $65K-$75K/year. (DOE)
