Job description

SUMMARY: The Field Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting the project team on a specific remote job with coordinating data, paperwork, timekeeping and to provide administrative support to the team through clerical and project based work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Create and modify documents using Adobe and Microsoft Office such as Excel and Word.
  • Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to: answering phone, data entry, photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing.
  • Maintain hard copy and electronic filing systems.
  • Process time for all workers on site.
  • New hire orientation and paperwork.
  • Coordinate and maintain records.
  • Support staff with assigned project based work.
  • Manage communication with the local as needed.
  • Communicate with workers on the job for shift changes, work updates, etc.

EDUCATION, SKILL, EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Administrative Assistant experience in an office setting preferred.
  • Must be efficient, accurate, organized, detail oriented, and a good communicator.
  • Knowledge of MS applications is a requirement, specifically Excel, Word & Outlook.
  • Experience with a Union environment is preferred.
  • Valid CA Driver’s License required.
