Tray line workers are employees who assemble meal trays, typically in hospitals, nursing homes, or institutional cafeterias. They follow specific dietary orders and portion guidelines to ensure each tray meets individual nutritional requirements. Their responsibilities also include ensuring food safety, maintaining cleanliness, and working as part of a team to provide timely meal service to patients or clients.

To thrive as a Tray Line Worker, you generally need basic food service knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines, with a high school diploma often preferred.
