Job description

We are seeking an experienced Dispatch Manager to oversee daily transportation operations, load planning, dispatch, driver management, and tracking teams. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience managing freight operations, and expertise using Transportation Management Systems (TMS).

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily dispatch operations and assign loads efficiently.
  • Plan and optimize freight across dedicated and spot market lanes.
  • Organize and supervise dispatchers, driver managers, and tracking teams.
  • Coordinate with drivers to ensure on-time pickup and delivery.
  • Monitor shipments, resolve service issues, and communicate with customers.
  • Build and manage lane strategies to maximize profitability and service.
  • Use TMS software to manage loads, dispatch, tracking, and reporting.
  • Analyze KPIs such as on-time performance, empty miles, and driver utilization.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of dispatch or transportation operations experience.
  • 2+ years of leadership or dispatch management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of TMS platforms.
  • Experience with load planning, lane management, and capacity planning.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of DAT, Truckstop, and other load boards is a plus.
