Compensation for this role is $90,000- $100,000. The role may also be eligible for bonus or commission pay. Actual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience and skill set.
As the Project Manager, Transportation Technology & Logistics Systems, you will lead strategic technology and operational initiatives supporting the General Motors Customer Care & Aftersales (GMCCA) account. You will partner cross-functionally with operations, technology, engineering, and customer stakeholders to deliver transportation, logistics, yard management, visibility, and reporting solutions that drive efficiency, scalability, and customer satisfaction.
What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Lead project planning, execution, governance, and delivery for transportation technology and logistics systems initiatives
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including transportation management, yard management, warehouse technology, reporting and analytics, visibility solutions, and business process automation
  • Create and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, resource requirements, risk mitigation strategies, and executive reporting
  • Partner with operations leaders, engineers, technology teams, vendors, and customer stakeholders to gather requirements and develop scalable business solutions
  • Coordinate testing, implementation, deployment, training, change management, and business readiness activities to ensure successful project adoption
  • Lead stakeholder meetings, project reviews, governance sessions, and executive updates while driving accountability for deliverables and action items
  • Support transportation visibility, scanning, warehouse technology, reporting modernization, and system integration initiatives across the network
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts focused on operational efficiency, automation, data quality, customer experience, and process optimization
  • Monitor project performance, dependencies, budgets, risks, and issue resolution throughout the project lifecycle
  • Support portfolio planning, project prioritization, technology roadmap development, and strategic business initiatives

At a minimum, you'll need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, Engineering, Logistics, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent related work experience
  • 5+ years of project management experience supporting technology, logistics, transportation, supply chain, operations, or business systems environments
  • Experience managing medium-to-large cross-functional projects from planning through implementation
  • Experience developing project schedules, resource plans, executive communications, and risk management strategies
  • Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project management methodologies
  • Experience facilitating stakeholder meetings, requirements workshops, and cross-functional collaboration sessions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, SharePoint, Power BI, Microsoft Project, or similar project management tools
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills

It'd be great if you also have:
  • PMP certification
  • Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Yard Management Systems (YMS), or logistics visibility platforms
  • Experience with Oracle Transportation Management (OTM)
  • Background supporting transportation, logistics, supply chain, automotive, or enterprise technology implementations
  • Experience working directly with General Motors or a large enterprise customer environment
  • Knowledge of EDI transactions, APIs, system integrations, and transportation data flows
  • Experience supporting change management, organizational readiness, and user adoption initiatives
  • Experience with YardView, trailer visibility, gate management, or yard operations technologies
  • Experience with reporting and analytics platforms, data governance, or business intelligence initiatives
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
