About the Opportunity

Our client, a growing transportation and logistics organization, is seeking an Executive Account Manager to work directly alongside a highly experienced industry executive as he expands customer relationships and gets further involved in the field.

This is not an Executive Assistant or administrative support position. It is a hands-on account management and logistics role for someone who understands freight and enjoys working directly with customers, carriers, and shipments.

You’ll help support customer accounts from initial outreach through shipment execution, including account follow-up, load building, carrier coordination, track and trace, CRM/TMS activity, and customer communication.

For someone earlier in their logistics career, this is a unique opportunity to learn directly from a seasoned transportation executive while developing deeper experience in account management, customer development, and freight operations.

The company places a strong emphasis on accountability, leadership, employee development, and creating a strong workplace culture and has been recognized as one of the region’s top workplaces.

What You’ll Do

  • Support and manage customer accounts within a fast-paced transportation environment.
  • Work directly with a senior executive on customer development, account growth, and shipment execution.
  • Communicate with customers regarding loads, shipment status, service needs, and account follow-up.
  • Build loads and coordinate with carriers to ensure freight is covered and executed successfully.
  • Assist with track-and-trace activities and proactively communicate shipment updates.
  • Maintain accurate customer, shipment, and opportunity information within CRM and TMS platforms.
  • Support email campaigns, customer outreach, and follow-up initiatives.
  • Help identify opportunities to strengthen existing customer relationships and expand account activity.
  • Coordinate internally with operations, carriers, and other stakeholders to resolve service issues.
  • Stay organized across multiple customers, shipments, priorities, and follow-up activities.

What You Bring

  • Previous account management, customer service, or customer-facing logistics experience.
  • Experience within freight, transportation, logistics, or a closely related environment.
  • Finished vehicle transportation experience is highly preferred.
  • Understanding of freight movement, load coordination, carrier communication, and shipment execution.
  • Experience with customer follow-up and relationship management.
  • Exposure to CRM and/or transportation management systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work directly with senior leadership while remaining comfortable handling day-to-day logistics details.
  • Professional, polished, and comfortable communicating with customers at different levels.
  • Ability and willingness to work onsite in Ferndale five days per week.

What’s Offered

  • $40,000 – $60,000 base salary, based on experience.
  • 100% employer-paid basic HMO medical coverage for employees.
  • POS/PPO medical options available.
  • Employer-paid portion of dependent medical coverage.
  • Dental and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) match up to 3%.
  • Monthly profit-sharing opportunity for eligible non-commissioned employees.
  • Direct exposure to and mentorship from a highly experienced transportation executive.
  • Opportunity to grow into greater account management and logistics responsibility over time.
  • Strong company culture focused on leadership, accountability, and employee development.
