The Logistics Quality Coordinator will act as liaison between TRUMPF departments, 3rd party warehouse suppliers & our customers for clear coordination of all machine deliveries in North America. They will support machine import, export, and storage processes as necessary in accordance with safety norms and regulations. This role requires excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of logistics processes.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities
  • Schedule and coordinate machine deliveries and returns within North America. Including oversized loads.
  • Communicate with internal & external customers to arrange deliveries and answer questions as needed.
  • Maintain proper and accurate documentation for all import and domestic shipments. Support import/export compliance as necessary
  • Clearly define interfaces between and responsibilities of different parties involved in the delivery of finished goods to our customers. Establish and improve standard procedures to further improve quality processes and validate their effectiveness.
  • Coordinate inventory movements between Trumpf facilities.
  • Perform inspections at warehouse: Incoming goods inspection, Visual inspections of machines before shipment. Document machine condition upon departure and ensure completeness of delivery.
  • Ensure machines are stored in accordance with company guidelines and specifications.
  • Provide HTS/Schedule B for shipments
  • Provide support on incoterms
  • Communicate with outside vendors (domestic and international) to support deliveries to our valued customers.
  • Review freight invoices, provide feedback to A/P on billing requirements/allocations.
  • Communicate shipping details and freight quotes to various internal TRUMPF departments.
  • Participate in bi-weekly meetings with Contracts, Logistics, and Accounts Receivable.
  • Availability to attend in-person and online meetings or training periodically in Farmington CT.

Experience
Previous experience in customer service and manufacturing environment (3+ years). Previous experience in logistics related cross -border function (3+ years). Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and logistic software. Must be very organized & detail oriented while working in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. SAP experience preferred.
Education
Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
