Overview

ABOUT THE POSITION

We're seeking a Call Center Representative to help keep Delaware's transportation network running smoothly. In this role, you'll provide administrative and operational support by coordinating communications, dispatching maintenance requests, and serving as a key point of contact for engineers, emergency responders, government partners, and the public. This position plays an important role in supporting day-to-day transportation operations and ensuring timely response to roadway issues.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact by answering phone calls and responding to shared inbox inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and route maintenance requests to the appropriate teams using dispatch systems, work management software, and radio communications.
  • Create, update, and track work orders using maintenance management systems.
  • Communicate with engineers, emergency responders, maintenance personnel, and the public to support efficient transportation operations.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to service requests and operational activities.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to support career growth.
  • Perform all work in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

Skills and Attributes

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook.
  • Experience using work management systems such as Maximo and Tracker is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent customer service

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience as an emergency dispatcher, emergency responder, or in a similar coordination or communications role preferred.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
