Operations Manager – Warehouse Operations

Position Summary
The Operations Manager leads all warehouse operations, including Import, Export, and Clerical functions. This role is responsible for operational performance, safety, compliance, and workforce leadership while driving efficiency through data analysis, forecasting, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead daily warehouse operations to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate execution.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop Inbound and Outbound Supervisors.
  • Ensure timely and accurate inbound, outbound, and exception processing.
  • Review and validate shipment reports, forecasts, and operational data.
  • Develop and utilize labor and volume forecasts to support staffing, scheduling, and workload planning.
  • Analyze historical data and customer projections to anticipate capacity needs.
  • Monitor KPIs, productivity trends, and forecast accuracy to drive operational decisions.
  • Enforce SOPs, OSHA regulations, and safety standards.
  • Conduct regular safety and quality audits.
  • Champion a safety-first culture through training and accountability.
  • Optimize warehouse layout, space utilization, and labor efficiency.
  • Resolve operational issues and customer concerns.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to support cost control and service levels.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and discipline team members as needed.
  • Promote cross-training and workforce flexibility.
  • Partner with senior leadership on operational planning and service strategy.
  • Perform additional duties or projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of warehouse or logistics experience.
  • 2+ years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, safety, and compliance.
  • Experience with forecasting, capacity planning, and performance metrics.
  • Hands-on experience with WMS, ERP, and reporting tools.

Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong operational leadership and people management skills.
  • Data-driven decision-making and analytical thinking.
  • Experience translating forecasts into staffing and execution plans.
  • Clear and effective communicator with conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and warehouse systems.

  • Solid understanding of OSHA and warehouse safety requirements.
