Job Description

The Operations Manager will be the primary leader of the Commissary Distribution Operation of the Distribution Center. Within this operation includes Receiving, Replenishment, Picking, Quality Control, and Shipping activities. Combining technical capabilities with strong Leadership and Management skills, they will deliver best in class performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost while ensuring a high level of employee satisfaction while driving continuous improvement. This is a hands-on operational management role that will work cross-functionally across the Distribution Center and the Company. Job Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end logistics strategy, including transportation, distribution, and supply chain across multiple locations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and escalation for third-party logistics partners, driving resolution of service issues
  • Evaluate and optimize current logistics partnerships identifying gaps in service,
  • Develop and enforce logistics KPIs (on-time delivery, cost per shipment, service levels, claims, etc.)
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, procurement, finance, and warehouse
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through route optimization, carrier negotiation, and improved load planning while maintaining service quality
  • Lead contract negotiations and ongoing vendor management for freight and logistics services
  • Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies
  • Provide executive-level reporting and insights on logistics performance, risks, and opportunities
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Distribution, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred)

  • 5+ years of experience leading large teams in a Distribution Center environment

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Experience implementing and maintaining Lean or Six Sigma principles
