Job description

The VP/Managing Director of Operations Strategy & Performance leads the development and execution of the strategic direction for OneMain's Operations organization. This executive partners with senior leaders to translate enterprise strategy into measurable business results by driving strategic planning, performance management, operational excellence, and transformation initiatives.
Working across Operations, Product, Technology, Finance, HR, Risk, Compliance, Analytics, and other business partners, this leader establishes performance frameworks, oversees executive reporting and governance, and leads initiatives that improve operational efficiency, enhance the customer experience, and support long-term growth. This role also identifies opportunities to evolve operating models and leverage emerging technologies to help Operations meet changing customer and business needs.
In The Role:
  • Develop and execute the Operations strategic roadmap, aligning priorities with enterprise objectives.
  • Translate business strategy into actionable initiatives, measurable goals, and implementation plans.
  • Lead annual and multi-year strategic planning and business planning activities.
  • Establish governance routines to monitor strategic initiatives, measure progress, and drive accountability.
  • Oversee the Operations performance management framework, including KPIs, scorecards, dashboards, and executive reporting.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews, providing insights into operational performance, risks, and opportunities.
  • Partner with senior leaders across the organization to prioritize initiatives and improve cross-functional execution.
  • Evaluate customer engagement strategies, service delivery models, and operational processes to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and customer experience.
  • Lead operational transformation initiatives focused on scalability, continuous improvement, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Assess emerging technologies, automation, AI, and industry trends to identify opportunities that create business value while balancing risk and operational readiness.
  • Develop executive presentations, strategic recommendations, and business cases that support enterprise decision-making.
  • Foster a culture of operational excellence, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Build, develop, and mentor high-performing teams while serving as a trusted advisor to executive leadership.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations Management, Economics, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations, strategy, business management, consulting, analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Experience developing and executing enterprise or operational strategy.
  • Proven success leading large-scale operational improvement or transformation initiatives.
  • Experience designing and managing performance management frameworks, executive reporting, and governance processes.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate data into business decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and build strong cross-functional partnerships.
  • Excellent executive communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, develop talent, and drive organizational change.

Preferred
  • MBA or other advanced degree.
  • Experience within financial services or other highly regulated industries.
  • Experience leading enterprise performance management, operational excellence, or business transformation functions.
  • Familiarity with customer journey optimization, operating model design, and workforce strategy.
  • Experience evaluating and implementing emerging technologies, automation, or AI-enabled operational solutions.
