JOB DESCRIPTION

Insight Global is seeking a Transportation Coordinator to join one of our top retail client's Transportation team in Calgary, Alberta. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, ensuring shipments move efficiently, customer commitments are met, and transportation operations remain compliant and on schedule. Working in a fast-paced 24/7 transportation environment, the successful candidate will coordinate driver activity, monitor load execution, manage shipment updates, and resolve daily operational issues. This role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities, as well as experience supporting over-the-road transportation operations.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years of experience in transportation, dispatch, fleet coordination, logistics, or a related field
  • Experience supporting drivers and over-the-road transportation operations
  • Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to act as a liaison between drivers, customers, and internal teams
  • Proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks and resolve issues in a fast-paced transportation environment
  • Experience tracking shipments, coordinating load assignments, and monitoring delivery performance
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage schedule changes, delays, and operational disruptions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Teams
  • Cross-border transportation and customs coordination experience


NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with transportation management systems such as PC Miler, Trimble/TruckMate, Samsara, or BorderConnect
