Job Description Summary:

Breakthru Beverage Group is seeking a Transportation Manager - Delivery Operations to lead our Minneapolis delivery team and help drive the next level of operational performance in a fast-paced, high-volume distribution environment.
This is a visible leadership role for someone who enjoys building structure, developing teams, improving execution, and creating consistency across a critical delivery operation. The Transportation Manager will oversee driver performance, fleet execution, DOT compliance, safety, service levels, and labor relations within a union environment.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on operations leader who can quickly build credibility, bring clarity to daily execution, and partner closely with operations leadership to strengthen accountability, communication, and customer service. This role is well-suited for someone who likes to solve problems, improve processes, and lead teams through change.
This is an opportunity to make a direct impact on the business, the driver team, and the customer experience while helping build a stronger, more consistent delivery operation in the Minneapolis market.

Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

  • General manager administration including, but not limited to, workers compensation, new hire interviewing, conducting training for efficiencies and overall safety culture, etc.
  • Administer proper discipline when necessary.
  • Maintain drivers' attendance records, sick days, vacation, etc.
  • Maintain and update payroll utilizing timekeeping software.
  • Effectively manage all aspects of the delivery department.
  • Monitor delivery fleet using Mobil Cast.
  • Responsible for DOT compliance including DOT safety requirements and DOT drug screening.
  • Respond to all inquiries and complaints concerning all aspects of the delivery process.
  • Ensures that team maintains a positive customer experience:
  • Positively responding to customer inquiries, complaints and resolving delivery concerns in accordance with customer requirements
  • Responsibly handle beverage alcohol product.
  • Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder's supervisor, may also be required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field and/or equivalent training and work experience
  • Minimum of 5 year of experience in related area and some experience in a supervisory role
  • Proficient PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation software
  • Must be a results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines
  • Analytic and Reporting skills
  • Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of management/supervisory experience
  • Able to interpret and apply union contracts

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to remain in a stationary position at times; communicate, and operate a computer and telephone
  • Occasionally carry & lift up to 65 pounds
  • Occasionally reach overhead, squat and bend
  • Occasionally walk and stand for extended periods of time

Competencies:

  • May help coordinate the work of junior members of the team.
  • Resolves issues which are often varied and non-routine. Undertakes analysis and investigation to solve issues.

Salary and Benefit Statement:

Compensation

Salary: $80,000 - $112,000

This position is eligible to participate in a bonus program. Metrics and level of participation are determined annually.
