Job description

Job Title: Lead Substance Use Disorder Counselor - Inpatient
Location: York, PA
Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM | Weekend availability required

We are excited to offer clinical supervision and cover costs toward CADC, CAADC, LPC, and LCSW credentials to fuel your professional growth and development.

As a Lead Substance Use Disorder Counselor, you will deliver exceptional, client-centered clinical care while providing clinical oversight, mentoring team members, and championing best practices within the program. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional who is passionate about delivering outstanding care and advancing in the behavioral health field!


  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions, including the preparation of materials through research and curriculum development as needed.
    Manage a limited caseload as necessary.
    Regularly communicate with referral sources and company representatives to strengthen relationships and address any concerns or challenges.
    Collaborate closely with internal treatment providers to coordinate care regarding client needs and medication management as appropriate.
    Conduct scheduled audits of client files to ensure proper documentation and compliance with licensing regulations.
    Facilitate and attend weekly treatment team meetings.
    Assist with staff and program scheduling as needed.
    Conduct insurance reviews and assessments as necessary.
    Support the intake process for new clients into the program as applicable.
    Participate in on-call duties for the facility to assist line staff with client behavioral and emotional needs as applicable.
    Oversee Family Programming, including the facilitation of psycho-educational programming as deemed appropriate.
    Provide recommendations and assist in coordinating aftercare planning for clients.
    Assist the Clinical Supervisor/Clinical Director with clerical duties and any other assigned tasks.
    Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality regarding all company information.
    Complete all required trainings as designated by the company and accreditation/licensing entities.
    Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in a related field (counseling, social work, psychology, etc.) with active licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) or certification (CAADC) is required.

  • Prior leadership, supervisory, or mentorship experience is preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of clinical documentation standards, accreditation requirements, and best practices in SUD treatment.

  • Bachelor's Degree with CADC or ability to obtain, plus one year of related experience.
