Training Specialist
General Purpose:Â
The Training Specialist develops the training tactical plan. Interfaces directly with stakeholders for requirements which are converted into training programs supporting business requirements. Responsible for direct supervision of a Team that delivers, plans, schedules and develops employee training that results in effective employee performance related to training programs. Performs a variety of administrative activities including database management, drafting reports, and presentations to Leadership teams.Â
Responsibilities:Â
Lead interface with management and key business stakeholders to determine training needsÂ
Work directly with Managers and P&C on high performance teams through progression development strategyÂ
Develop training plans aligned to business objectivesÂ
Collaborate with regional and global training teams to deliver corporate training initiatives  Â
Manage training department staff to include employee performanceÂ
Oversee the design of training programs and schedules based on knowledge of identified training needs, production processes, business systems, or changes in products, procedures or processes Â
Oversee and report on the annual compliance training programsÂ
Manage the research of new training technologies to incorporate innovation techniques into programsÂ
Develop training effectiveness program to monitor training program successÂ
Utilize continuous improvement approach to evolve training programs for competitivenessÂ
Coordinate on the job training with the new employee's supervisor/managerÂ
Lead the research, selection and management of outside consultants and trainers to conduct training in specific topicsÂ
Maintain training records for attendance in compliance with Company standardsÂ
Evaluate training for evidence of the effectiveness of training per Company guidelinesÂ
Work to keep training programs interactive and designed based upon adult learning theory in order to engage traineesÂ
Must be able to work different shifts to support training requirements as neededÂ

Essential Functions:Â
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and SAP)Â
Ability to lead and deliver training material individually or in classroom settingsÂ
Ability to Manage a TeamÂ
Ability to communicate effectively in English both written and verbally to express oneself clearlyÂ
Ability to effectively lead a cross-functional teamÂ
Ability to establish targets and translate them into actionable plans with the departmentÂ
Ability to interact frequently with others in a professional, courteous mannerÂ
Education, Training, and Skills Required:Â
Bachelor's degree in human resources, education, adult learning, organizational development or equivalent disciplineÂ
5 years of previous training or training coordinating experience in curriculum design, development and deliveryÂ
1-3 years Leading or Supervising a team Â
Knowledge of techniques and philosophies of adult educationÂ
High level of written English.  Ability to create training programs, instructions and training manuals at the appropriate level. Ability to effectively present information in large classes, one-on-one and small group situations to other employees, supervisors and managers in the organizationÂ
Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook)Â
Strong ability to respectfully challenge colleagues and consultants across demographicsÂ
Creativity in developing engaging and effective training materialsÂ
Exceptional presentation and communication skills are requiredÂ
Ability to handle multiple priorities and complete tasks/projects in accordance with stated deadlinesÂ
Data-driven to measure and achieve operational excellenceÂ
