A Day In The Life
The Training and Development Manager under the leadership of the Director, Training & Development will deliver GSFSGroup classroom curriculum as a professional instructor and provide in-store GSFS Group retail development. The Manager will continuously build self-skills in GSFSGroup classroom management and retail development through learning principles, coaching, and training skills. All activities with proper assessment and preparation, delivery, follow-up, and measurement. The Manager will identify with current methods of success and identify any improvements in curriculum through collaboration with leadership and the other training team members. The Manager will also provide support to specific GSFS programs and products as determined necessary by the leadership of the Training and Development Department. The manager will be responsible for planning and executing weekly travel.
As a Manager, Training & Development you will:
  • Increase Product Count - All training and development activities lead to product increase and/or dealer account growth/sustainment. Grow the current skills of the solicitors and retail managers to increase performance metrics: add product and leverage for GSFSGroup growth efforts.
  • Work Ethic - On-time performance, Friedkin values application, team member support, attire, timely and routine completion of administration and prep work, calendar updates and utilization of the work week.
  • Material Content Consistency and Master Trainer/Developer - Consistent practice and use of GSFSGroup branded sales dialogue skills in all training and development: deliverable and process content across key industry departments. Utilize across all delivery channels: retail modeling, field manager work, dealer assessment, class instruction, and online applications. Consistent skills growth and application of Learning Principles, Classroom Management, Process Content, Deliverable Content and Physical Delivery Skills.
  • Expense Management - Utilizing Friedkin Travel resources, retain the lowest cost, safe options for all travel. Meals with non-associates have a defined, planned purpose: a return.
  • Challenge Yourself - Seek learning opportunities to better your work and life skills: continue skills growth throughout your time as an associate.
  • Other Expected Performance Activities
    • Conduct needs assessment by dealer assignment.
    • Support training curriculum design and revision: live classroom and eLearning applications.
    • Timely and effective email, text, and phone communication. * Timely post-training evaluation and feedback.
    • Attend and lead regional training and development activity by field request, for nationwide accounts.
    • Maintain and increase Car Buyer satisfaction through all deliverables.
    • Maintain and increase Dealer satisfaction through all deliverables.
    • Consistently use our retail skills model to develop in-dealership: live demonstration.
    • Demonstrate and apply professional verbal and written communication skills.
    • Continually update product knowledge as necessary through the training and development assignments.
    • Plan and coordinate multiple events and projects through utilization of the Outlook calendar and SalesForce program.
    • Attend, complete and apply required training and development.
    • Complete any duties assigned for growth and development.

What We Need From You
  • Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university Pref
  • 10+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred
  • Extensive in-dealership F&I background - multi-dealership preferred
  • Radiate professionalism, energy, integrity and a "can do" attitude in every facet of their interactions with clients and peers.
  • Have the ability to produce neat, organized and effective documentation for all internal and external communications.
  • Have the ability to write professionally and communicate effectively with associates, manufacturer clients, vendors and dealer personnel.
  • Able to speak professional and communicate effectively with associates, manufacturer clients, vendors and dealer personnel.
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Physical Requirements
The job requires significant domestic travel. As a result, the duties for this position occur in various places including, but not limited to an office environment, car dealerships, and semi-industrial settings. The associate will regularly be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, areas in which moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals are present, and outside weather conditions. The noise level for this position will vary and the associate may be exposed to loud noise levels.
