Position: Training and Development Coordinator
POSITION SUMMARY: The Training & Development Coordinator leads and drives employee learning, onboarding, engagement, internal communications, and organizational development initiatives across the organization. Under the direction of the Program Manager - Employee Experience, this role develops, implements, and sustains training and development programs designed to strengthen employee engagement, workforce development, retention, leadership communication, and organizational culture. This position leads onboarding, orientation, LMS administration, employee development initiatives, recognition programs, and organizational learning activities. The Training & Development Coordinator monitors training and engagement trends, tracks data related to performance evaluations, certifications, and licensures, recommends process improvements, and partners with department leaders to advance strategic employee experience and learning initiatives that align with organizational goals, quality outcomes, and patient experience standards.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Manages and leads the full bi-weekly New Employee Orientation program end-to-end, onboarding programs, and service awards.
  • Monitors and analyzes employee engagement, turnover, retention, and organizational development metrics - interpreting quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, inform initiatives, and evaluate impact.
  • Administers the Learning Management System (LMS), including corporate and local course requirements; produces scheduled and ad hoc reports on completions and compliance.
  • Directs and facilitates training and development activities, providing expert guidance and support across the organization.
  • Leads employee engagement initiatives and recognition programs across the organization, ensuring timely administration, communication, and program effectiveness.
  • Coordinates internal communications strategies to strengthen employee connection with the CEO, C-Suite, and the broader culture of the organization.
  • Develops and presents materials for organizational development-related data, C-Suite communications, training and other requests.
  • Maintains accurate records and reports related to HR programs.
  • Collaborates with HR team members and department leaders to support organizational development efforts.
  • Exercises a high degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and independent judgment in managing sensitive employee and organizational information.

Qualifications
Education, Training, Experience and Licenses/Registrations Required:
  • Associate's Degree in Communication, Human Resources, or a related field required.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • At least four years of related experience in communication, HR or training support, preferably in healthcare.
  • Experience leveraging technology platforms - such as Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems - to support efficient workflows and outcome.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to speak publicly to audiences of various sizes.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize technology to create and deliver compelling employee communications and training presentations.
  • Proficient in data analysis and report preparation, using tools such as Microsoft Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
