Devereux Pocono Center provides programs and services for adults with developmental disabilities. Located in Newfoundland, PA the Learning Specialist schedules and delivers training and development to Devereux employees using a variety of instructional strategies and activities suited for adult learners. The Learning Specialist will coordinate, facilitate, monitor, evaluate, and record training activities as well as assist to create and develop training materials.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree in development, education, training, or related field preferred. A combination of education and experience may be considered.

Experience: Minimum of 1 years' experience working within a behavioral healthcare setting. At least 1 year of experience conducting staff training and development, preferably in health care or social services setting. Instructor's certification in First Aid, CPR, and Crisis Prevention/Intervention preferred. Experience with learning management systems and data collection/analyzing platforms (Absorb, MyAvatar, and/or other internal and external software applications pertinent to the position) preferred.
