Job description

Position Summary:


The Training Specialist will support the assigned Plant location as the subject matter expert in delivering and administering training programs that support the business goals of the CANPACK US Division. This includes, but is not limited to, providing leadership, compliance and technical training for assigned members of the CPUS team.


Essential Functions/Key Deliverables:


• Support HR, EHS and Operations departments in rolling out plant required training.

• Oversee third party training and facilitate training agendas to ensure completion by all intended training recipients.

• Maintains all training materials, records, acknowledgements and sign-in sheets.

• Responsible for management of the AG5 Learning Management System. Ensure that AG5 is up-to-date and accurate for each area/position and monitor individual progress against objectives.

• Regularly monitor training materials and provide feedback.

• Assist with the periodic assessments of skills.

• Conduct periodic evaluations of training programs and recommend revisions as needed.

• Conduct skills assessments and identify critical skill gaps and implement skills training programs accordingly.

• Collect feedback from employees on training processes.

• Performs other tasks reasonably commensurate with the role.


Knowledge/Skills/Experience:


• Vocational education a plus (Mechanical, Technical or similar).

• Thorough understanding of a variety of manufacturing processes with high-speed production required.

• Ability to work independently or as a team.

• Proven classroom/platform skills with effective verbal, written and oral communication skills preferred.

• Previous experience managing a learning platform, such as AG5.

• Strong track record of training development across a variety of topics and platforms preferred.

• Ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.

• Technical skills with a thorough knowledge of Excel, Power Point and Word.

• Proven record of problem-solving skills and an analytical approach to problem solving.
