As a Field Property Adjuster Trainee, you'll receive company-sponsored training, industry licensing support, and real-world field experience that will prepare you to investigate property losses, assess damage, prepare estimates, and manage insurance claims.


30-Day Paid In-Person Training Program โ€“ Charlotte, NC

Capstone invests heavily in the success of its trainees. All new hires participate in a comprehensive 30-day training program designed to provide the technical knowledge and practical skills needed to succeed as a Property Adjuster.

Travel and accommodations are fully provided by Capstone.


During training, you'll learn:

What You'll Do

Following successful completion of training, you will:

  • Conduct field investigations involving residential and commercial property claims.
  • Inspect homes and commercial buildings to identify and document damage.
  • Analyze claim information, policy provisions, and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare repair and replacement estimates using Xactimate.
  • Assist in determining coverage, damages, and claim exposure.
  • Prepare professional reports and claim documentation for clients.
  • Maintain communication with policyholders, contractors, consultants, and insurance carriers throughout the claim process.
  • Participate in subrogation and causation investigations when applicable.
  • Manage an assigned claim inventory while meeting service and quality standards.
  • Travel throughout your assigned New Jersey territory to inspect losses and investigate claims.
  • Continue developing technical expertise through training and mentorship opportunities.
What We're Looking For
  • College Degree or equivalent required.
  • Construction, roofing, restoration, inspection, estimating, military, engineering, or related experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn technical concepts.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn industry software platforms.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required adjuster licenses.
  • Valid driver's license required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Construction or building trades experience
  • Roofing or restoration industry experience

Physical Requirements

This position requires regular travel and field inspections throughout New Jersey.

Candidates must be able to:

  • Lift and carry up to 35 pounds, including ladders and inspection equipment.
  • Climb ladders and inspect residential and commercial roofs.
  • Work at heights and access attics, crawlspaces, and other confined areas.
  • Walk, kneel, crouch, crawl, stand, and climb as necessary to conduct inspections.
  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
