General Summary: Under the direction of the Secretary of Commerce; the Director leads all tourism and promotion efforts for the Muscogee Nation including: managing, promoting, and developing tourism to increase revenues and visitors; acting as a liaison between local businesses, government, and visitors. Responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing and tourism plan for the Department, managing budgets, and overseeing all tourism activities across the Nation and all its lands. Manages all Department staff. Responsible for the overall performance and evaluation of all staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Muscogee Creek Nation Policies. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning and directing work activities; performance evaluations; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Manage and lead Tourism Department team performance. 2. Develop and lead the implementation of marketing/ tourism plan forthe
Muscogee Nation.
3. Analyze tourism trends ensuring department goals align with overallMCN business and governmental objectives.
4. Work with the Marketing Department to plan, develop and executevarious types of events on behalf of the Muscogee Nation.
S. Manage social media and websites for the Department.
6. Responsible to work during MCN events; including evenings andweekends as necessary.
7. Prepare and manage annual budget and all procurement activities inaccordance with all applicable laws and policies of the MuscogeeNation.
8. Provide staff training, evaluation and corrective action as necessary. 9. Ensure that the operation meets all contractual obligations.
10. Attend, speak, or present at public functions and events as arepresentative of Muscogee Nation.

Preferred Requirements: Education - Bachelor' s Degree in Marketing, Tourism, Hospitality, or Communications from an accredited university program; and
Experience - Four years of management experience, or three ( 3) years of direct tourism management experience.
Preference: Muscogee, Veteran, and Indian preference.
