Position Available: Sales Director
Job Summary: The Sales Director is responsible for managing key client relationships and driving revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives. This role operates at a senior level and involves both independent and collaborative work on a variety of projects. The Sales Director builds strong relationships with major clients, identifies new business opportunities, and upsells products and services to both existing and new accounts. With a solid understanding of the company’s offerings, this role ensures that client needs are consistently met, supporting long-term retention and business growth.
Essential Duties amp; Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with major clients, ensuring customer satisfaction, contract renewals, revenue growth, and long-term retention.
  • Pursue new business opportunities by identifying potential accounts and upselling products and services to existing customers.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their business needs, providing strategic solutions, and fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Lead critical customer conversations, including contract negotiations, pricing increases, service issues, and conflict resolution while maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide insights on product and service improvements based on client feedback.
  • Provide detailed sales quotes and respond to requests for proposals (RFPs), ensuring accurate and timely information.
  • Independently manage a portfolio of key client accounts while contributing to broader sales initiatives and team projects.
  • Lead the development, design, and presentation of client proposals, business reviews, and growth strategies to maximize market share.
  • Analyze sales data, industry trends, and client feedback to improve sales performance and customer engagement efforts.
  • Ensure consistent execution of merchandising, pricing, promotional, and shelf-positioning strategies aligned with client objectives.
  • Develop and manage relationships with grocery retailers, distributors, and category managers to drive sales growth, strengthen partnerships, and maximize account performance.
Skills amp; Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of sales, account management, or business development experience, preferably within the Grocery, Retail, or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
  • Experience managing relationships with grocery retailers, distributors, and category managers.
  • Proven ability to lead customer negotiations, pricing discussions, and contract renewals.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to develop effective sales strategies.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, business development opportunities, and market visits.
