Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)

  • Drive advertising revenue across a portfolio of CPG accounts, including food & beverage, personal care, baby goods, and related categories, while identifying and developing new business opportunities.
  • Represent Hearst Magazines' portfolio of 30 brands by developing strategic, cross-platform advertising solutions spanning print, digital, social, custom content, and experiential programs.
  • Prospect and cultivate new client and agency relationships, expanding category opportunities and building a strong pipeline of future business.
  • Execute sales strategies, deliver compelling client presentations, and develop customized proposals that align with client objectives and business goals.
  • Partner with internal marketing, research, editorial, content, and talent teams to translate client KPIs and RFP requirements into innovative, results-driven solutions.
  • Manage sales activity, pipeline, and revenue forecasting through Salesforce while maintaining accurate business reporting and monthly projections.
  • Provide market intelligence and category insights to leadership, helping shape sales strategies and identify new growth opportunities.
  • Achieve and consistently exceed revenue goals while delivering an exceptional client experience.

Qualifications (What We're Looking For)

  • 3+ years of media experience at an agency or media company.
  • 2+ years of digital sales or sales-adjacent experience with experience supporting relevant CPG categories.
  • Established relationships with key client and agency decision-makers and a proven ability to develop new business opportunities.
  • Demonstrated success selling integrated, cross-platform media solutions across digital, print, social, branded content, and experiential offerings.
  • A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and takes ownership of driving results.
  • Strong analytical thinking, strategic planning, creative problem-solving, and sound business judgment.
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with exceptional follow-through and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and social media platforms; Salesforce experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, client events and industry events.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid schedule based in New York City.

The base salary range for this role is $116,000-$135,000. This role is also eligible for bonus and/or commission compensation. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
