Job description

Overview

As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for day-to-day operations of our new 350,000 square-foot Flagship Distribution Center, receiving material shipments, as well as the pulling/prepping/securing of materials for shipping of scheduled jobs. This position is physical in nature and is deemed heavy work (as defined under Qualifications).

Responsibilities
+ Operate various types of powered industrial material handling equipment to transport inventory to/from storage and staging areas.
+ Load/unload freight onto/from containers and trailers.
+ Verify inbound deliveries against manifests to verify product and quantity accuracy
+ Utilize RF Scanners to pick and/or pack customer orders ensuring accuracy of type and quantity of all components
+ Select and construct appropriate packaging materials to ensure safe transport of product to final destination
+ Utilize RF Scanners, Computers, and scales to process orders for shipment
+ Maintain facility equipment by performing daily safety inspections and monitoring power supply
+ Comply with all OSHA and MSDS standards
+ Perform stock counts
+ Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work area
+ Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
Required:
+ High School Graduate or GED equivalent.
+ Ability to carry and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis; Ability to stand and walk or move around for extended periods; Repetitive pushing, pulling, and bending required
+ Ability to read work orders, pick lists, and/or assimilate verbal work instructions.
Preferred:
+ Prior distribution center/warehouse operations experience.
+ Prior powered material handling equipment experience and/or certifications.
