  • Do you set up and dial in CNC Swiss machines without breaking a sweat?
  • Can you read a complex blueprint, hit tight tolerances, and verify with the right gauges?
  • Are you comfortable jumping between jobs, optimizing programs, and keeping documentation tight?
  • Do you enjoy coaching teammates and supporting new product introductions?
Your Impact
  • Own end-to-end setups and changeovers on CNC Swiss-style lathes, including program debugging, tool changes, and on-the-fly adjustments.
  • Produce medical-grade components; handle deburring and finishing to meet cosmetic and functional specs.
  • Verify quality using calipers, micrometers, height stands, and comparators; complete electronic quality checks in our ERP and machine monitoring systems.
  • Read and apply blueprints, routers, inspection check-sheets, and work instructions.
  • Provide actionable feedback to CNC programmers and maintain setup documentation per change control.
  • Guide operators, support training, and maximize equipment utilization.
  • Drive continuous improvement and execute the production plan to hit customer delivery dates.
  • Troubleshoot production gaps and support NPI through setup optimization and early-run problem-solving.
What You Bring
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (advanced technical training is a plus).
  • 3+ years on Swiss-style lathes preferred, or 3+ years on traditional multi-axis CNC lathes.
  • Strong knowledge of machinery, tooling, measuring, and gauging equipment; solid understanding of production processes.
  • Proven skill with setups, blueprint reading, routers, and setup files.
  • Ability to ensure functional and cosmetic quality requirements are met.
  • Clear, professional verbal communication across production, management, and technical teams.
  • Comfort with lean concepts and objectives.
  • Reliable execution of Supervisor direction and work instructions.
  • Alignment with Avalign’s core values and professional behaviors.
  • Working knowledge of Avalign’s Quality System, including Measurement Instruction Sheets and Compliance Policies.
