Established in 2010, Coach Across America (CAA) is the nationwide leader in engaging, training and supporting sports coaches to transform youth, programs, and communities. Our AmeriCorps coaching program is the first national service program that challenges young adults to give back to their communities through a year of service as coach-mentors. CAA's research, training, and on-the-ground initiatives empower sports programs across the country to become a united force for meaningful change. To date, CAA has reached over 600,000 youth by placing over 3,000 coaches in underserved urban communities. The CAA Training VISTA will play a crucial role in content design/redesign, expanding our contract-based partner reach, and enhancing current systems and processes while supporting the development of new tools. This will ensure that our vital training can reach more coaches, athletes, students, administrators, and parents that desperately need more support. The Training Team is a passionate group of coach-mentors themselves. They will be able to help the Training VISTA discover a multitude of ways that we can impact our communities and our future through non-profit work. If that interests you, then this is an opportunity like no other. Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's degree, a passion for the mission of CAA, and preferably some coaching experience. Event management or sales experience is preferred but not required. The candidate will be an organized self-starter, work well under pressure, be a strong writer, and have a curiosity for learning about training/adult-learning, coaching, marketing, and research. The position is a one-year term (with potential to renew for a second year) and starts in August of 2026. Member Duties :The CAA Training VISTA will be part of the 26-27 Coach Across America nationwide cohort of 64 members. The VISTA will expand our external/contract training outreach and effectiveness by developing support tools for multiple departments within the organization, create and update training content on our learning management system to provide more offerings for coaches within our internal coach-placement program, optimize active systems and develop new systems to support with overall efficiency of the training department, and craft a 12-month calendar of both team-centered and personalized professional development opportunities for training team staff in order to strengthen facilitator skills and knowledge.Program Benefits :Relocation Allowance , Training , Choice of Education Award or End of Service Stipend , Health Coverage* , Childcare assistance if eligible , Living Allowance .*For details about AmeriCorps VISTA healthcare benefits, please visithttps://americorpsvista.imglobal.com/.Terms :
