Reports to: Foreman Electrician

FLSA: Hourly/Non-Exempt

Location: Greater Los Angeles Area

Hours: 7am โ€“ 4pm, Mon-Fri


Position Overview:

As an Apprentice Electrician, you will work closely with our team to assist in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations and associated electrical and network systems. This role provides hands-on experience and training, preparing you for a rewarding career as an electrician in the growing EV infrastructure sector.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Install Electrical Systems and Equipment: Assist in the installation of electrical systems and equipment necessary for the operation of electric vehicle charging stations, following installation plans as set forth by the foreman.
  • Electrical Installations: Perform installations that include, but are not limited to:
    • Electrical raceways and support systems
    • Junction boxes
    • Electrical panels
    • Wiring and conduit installation
    • Electric vehicle charging stations and associated network equipment
  • Troubleshooting and Testing: Assist in troubleshooting, testing, and diagnosing issues with EV charging equipment and electrical systems to ensure proper operation and safety compliance.
  • Adhere to Safety and Code Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, electrical codes, and regulations to ensure safe and compliant installations.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Work with the foreman, electricians, and other team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Assist in maintaining accurate records of installations, testing results, and materials used during projects.
Requirements:


  • Enrollment in or completion of an accredited electrical trainee program
  • Basic understanding of electrical principles and construction practices
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and installation plans
