Job description

Overview
We're seeking a Test Engineer (Journeyman) to support a space weather satellite mission operations program, focused on integration and validation of mission-critical systems. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in testing methodologies and a passion for ensuring system reliability in a complex, high-impact environment.
What You'll Do
  • Support integration and testing of satellite mission operations systems
  • Execute test plans across telemetry & command (T&C), data operations, and mission applications
  • Perform trending and analysis to validate system performance and identify anomalies
  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using modern testing frameworks
  • Utilize test management tools to track test cases, defects, and overall system quality
  • Troubleshoot system issues, identify root causes, and support resolution efforts
  • Collaborate with software, systems, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery
Basic Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in test engineering or integration testing
  • Foundational knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Experience with telemetry & command systems, data operations, or mission-based applications
  • Hands-on experience with test tools such as Zephyr Scale (or similar test management tools)
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Cucumber and Cypress
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for system validation and defect identification
  • Basic programming or scripting experience (e.g., JavaScript, Python)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting satellite or space-based systems
