Posting Number PG195202TM Position Number 11ASO3490 Position Type Temporary Essential Job Duties
The Technology Support Technician will provide programming solutions for the Center for Integrated Fungal Research (CIFR) in the Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology at NC State University. The position will support research by maintaining a local instances of Galaxy and Nextflow, web-based workflow management systems for bioinformatic analyses, oversee XML and Python program development, deploy AI solutions to accelerate discoveries, and conduct program installation and deployment in a Linux virtual computing environment. The position will require the technician to provide training and programming support to students and employees. The position will also provide website development and support for research websites within the unit.
This position could run until 12/31/2026
