Job Summary
Part-Time Temporary Technology Specialist to install, configure, maintain, and repair workstations, servers, applications, audio-visual equipment, copiers, printers, phones, and the campus network.
Essential Functions
Facilitate the operation of technology equipment and associated software.
Install, configure, maintain, and repair computers, associated peripherals, and network systems campus wide. Perform warranty repairs or replacements according to manufacturer's requirements.
Maintain accurate records of warranty failures to assure compliance.
Perform routine maintenance on computers and associated peripheral equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Associate's degree in electronics or computer technology. (Related work experience may substitute for the postsecondary education. Six months of work experience is equivalent to 15 semester credit hours).
One year experience in computer repair or related field.
Demonstrated ability of providing exceptional customer service in a professional environment.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with a wide variety of individuals coming from varied backgrounds.
Knowledge of current software applications.
Valid Iowa Driver's License.
Must be able to lift 70lbs.
Desired Qualifications
Two years of providing technical-based customer service in a professional work environment.
Work Schedule
Daytime hours, to be determined. Up to 1,250 hours per year.
